Protean Electric to Showcase In-Wheel Motor Technology at Vienna Motor Symposium

LONDON, U.K. – April 26, 2022 – Protean Electric, the world leader of in-wheel motor (IWM) technology, today announced that the Company will be showcasing its IWM technology at the illustrious Vienna Motor Symposium.

The company will show its own converted Mercedes E-Class equipped with four ProteanDrive Pd18s, delivering 0-100 km/h in 4.3 seconds, and 5,600 Nm of peak torque.  The vehicle embodies the power of IWMs to improve electrification, delivering an uncompromised electric experience in this iconic chassis. Today IWMs enable faster, more cost effective electrification strategies. In the future ProteanDrive will dramatically increase available space in vehicle architectures, revolutionising the opportunities for electric vehicle OEMs to deliver customer value.

The International Vienna Motor Symposium will be held at the Hofburg Conference Centre in Vienna from 27-29 April 2022. Protean’s demo car will be located on the Heldenplatz.
