Alcon specializes in brake design with automotive and racing-level durability and has award winning roots in Indycar, GrandAm and Nascar racing. For over 25 years, Alcon has been providing brake and clutch solutions to professional teams competing in the world's premier motorsport series including F1, NASCAR, IRL, WRC, S2000, and Australian V8 Supercars, as well as to competitors in Clubman and other classes. Best known in racing perhaps, but today some 50 percent of Alcon’s activity is with prestige road car OEMs, marque tuners, special vehicle builders, armoring and defense contractors, and the fast growing field of low carbon transport.

AB Mikroelektronik is situated in Salzburg, Austria. UK & Ireland 2011 Graphical System Design Achievement Award Mark McDonnell, Protean Electric's product validation manager, received this award for his technical paper: "Automated Dynamometer Testing of an Advanced In-Wheel Electric Drive System for Electric Vehicles." The Graphical System Design award showcases the most innovative uses of virtual instrumentation and graphical system design in teaching or research as well as from engineers in industry.
